ratpicture
Picture Drawn by Tammy Young

There once was a rat that was very nosey. Everywhere he went, he ran into someone with problems. He tried to solve everybody's problems through bargaining. In the end, he gets more than he bargained for.

Critical Thinking Questions:
This rat was very clever.
Have you ever used this to get something that you wanted?

Have you ever wanted something really bad and then
when you got it, it wasn't what you wanted after all?

Pakistan is very large. It is approximately the size of France and the United Kingdom combined. Pakistan has many different  kinds of scenery. It has sandy beaches and swamps like we do in Georgia. The climate is like ours in Georgia as well. They have cold winters and hot summers. Pakistan also has many natural disasters that people in Georgia may never see. These include earthquakes, tsuanmis, floods, wind storms, as well as droughts. Some of these natural disasters happen quite frequently.  There are also some interesting landforms in Pakistan. These include the Arabian Sea, forests, and mountains such as the Himalaya, Karakoram, and the Hindu Kush mountains. There are also deserts in Pakistan. The Thar Desert has shifting sand dunes.

Children's Work

Look What We Did...

  money
These children were amazed at the money I brought in from Pakistan. They thought it was very cool.
They have never seen a $500.00 bill before...then again, until I borrowed the money from a friend, neither had I!

This student drew money for her picture. She said she liked all the mountains and the desert but she liked the money from Pakistan the best!

This student likes bushes so he drew bushes and the sun. He liked the money as well but said he would rather just draw a bush.

I scream,

we all scream
for ice cream!!!
