students that you are going to use the computer to read an
Mini-Research eBook
about counting objects up to 30.
List 2 or more
questions that introduce students
to your Mini-Research eBook that will establish a
connection to students' prior knowledge by asking them:

Check for understanding
Students with teacher assistance will read the Mini-Research eBook,
explore, and
discuss
the information in the four linking websites that go with the

students guiding
questions about the important concepts in the Mini-Research eBook and
the linking
websites. List four or more questions from each of your
linking websites that will guide your students to gain information for
your PLO.
1. What color are the two
puppies?

got your answer.
3. How many lolipops did you
count?

of Students' Evidence that Illustrate the Achieved Performance Level of
the PLO (* To receive full credit description must include minimum of two sentences and a detailed example of the students' evidence.) |

This student did a great job
counting the objects in the ebook and the games. Student used markers
to draw the different animals on construction paper. The student
also put numbers above each animal to make sure they drew the
correct amount. When the student finished drawing the animals they used
scissors to cut out each set of animals. The student counted all the
animals they had in their zoo and did an excellent job. |

This student also did a great
job counting the correct number of objects in the ebook. Student loved
the games on the website and wanted to stay and play them. This student
also used markers to draw the animals on construction paper and wrote
numbers above each animal. When the student finished drawing the
animals they used scissors to cut out each set of animals. Then the
student counted all the animals and did a great job. |
1. Comment and describe the learning strategy that you implemented in your Mini-Research eBook Teaching Strategy Lesson. (* To receive full credit description must include a minimum of two sentences and a detailed example.) The ebook helped the students' see the many different objects they could count. I asked the students' if they could name objects that they could count. One student said money and balloons. The students did a great job playing the different games. In the activities it showed the students the many different objects they could count.
2. State evidence to show that your students gained knowledge during your Mini-Research eBook Teaching Strategy Lesson. (* To receive full credit description must include a minimum of two sentences and a detailed example.) After the students played the games I had them tell me how they got their answer. I asked this question to one of the sutdents and they told me that Lecky the Alien needed 9 balloons and they counted each balloon they clicked on to make sure they got the right answer. In the ebook the students had to count objects in the pictures. One way I checked the students progress was watching each student use the mouse pointer to click on each object and count as they clicked. The students did an excellent job.
3. Give at least one suggestion that
would lead to improving your teaching practices and student
achievement. (*
To receive full credit description must include a minimum of two
sentences and a detailed example.) To improve my lesson I would have
the students put numbers above each animal in sequence such as, 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, 6. Instead of having the students put 1, 2, 3,4...(first set),
1, 2, 3(second set) to help the student make sure they were drawing the
correct amount. When I had them count the animals off in sets it seemed
to confuse them when they counted the animals. But the students did a
great job and counted the animals in sequence.
