Feel
the Sting For Excellence At Cook Middle School
Designed
by Staci Howell
Hello
Parents and
Students! My name is Staci
Howell and my home town is Adel,
Georgia. Adel
was formerly called "Puddleville" back in the late 1800s. A
family oriented recreation site in Adel is the Reed Bingham State
Park
which is a great
place for hiking, boating, fishing, skiing, bike riding, camping, and
swimming. Adel
is also the home of the the Adelily Festival and the mighty Hornets.
Adel has four
public schools ranging from Pre-K to High School. I currently
teach at Cook Middle School
which includes grades 6th-8th.
I
graduated from Cook High School in
1990 and then from Valdosta State
University in 1995 with a
Bachelor of Science degree
in
Nursing. I worked several years in the nursing field before I
decided
to change careers into the education field. This will be my
second year
as a Learning Specialist for seventh grade students. It is so
exciting to be able to co-teach with teachers who actually taught me in
middle school.
I have been married
for 13 years, and I have three beautiful daughters. My daughter's ages
are ten years old, six years old, and two years. Some of my hobbies
include playing the piano, watching movies, and playing video
games with my kids.
I
will be co-teaching in Language Arts, Math, and Life Science this year.
It will a great year filled with exciting learning discoveries on
cells, genetics, evolution, ecology, algebra, numbers and
operations, geometry, basic grammar, and written essays. Please view
our 7th grade standards
for a further description of academic goals.
