Welcome to Ms. Schmidt’s homepage. Let me start off by telling you about myself. I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia my whole life and love the area. I went to the University of Tennessee for college…..GO VOLS! I am in the process of working on my Master's degree in Special Education at Valdosta State University. I am a teacher at St. Francis School in Roswell, Georgia. I have taught Literature and Grammar the last seven years and I am truly blessed to work there.
In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, tennis, and coaching cheerleading. I like to stay active and being involved in the community is very important to me. Teaching is a gift and honestly, I do not look at it as a job, but as a reward!
I look forward to the 2009-2010 school year! I will be teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Literature. Literature is full of learning opportunities! I hope you take the time to enjoy all the genres in your middle school years. “The answers you get from literature depend upon the questions you pose.” – Margaret Atwood
