Hey, I'm Stephanie Burnham and
I would like to welcome you to my web page. I would also like to
let you know a few things about me. I was a student in the Lowndes County School System
from kindergarten through twelfth grade. I was an
honor graduate with a College Preparatory and a Vocational sealed
diploma from
Lowndes High School in 1997. I am currently a student at Valdosta
State University as an
Early Childhood Education major. I have always had the desire to
be an elementary school teacher. I believe that children deserve
the opportunity to learn and to be encouraged to persevere in
everything that they do.
During my seventh grade
and eighth grade years, I was a cheerleader at
Lowndes Middle School. I was a member of Student Council from
seventh grade until twelfth grade. While in high school, I was
also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Beta Club, National
Beta Club, Interact Club,FBLA
(Future
Business Leaders of America), and Class Cabinet of
1997. During my senior year, I participated in a co-operative work program which
allowed me to leave school early and
go to work for the remainder of the day. My favorite activity
during high school was participating
in the peer mentor program as a member of Interact. This program
allowed high school students to adopt a student from an elementary
school and be his
"buddy" for the school year.
My favorite place to
visit is Destin, FL. I really
enjoy the scenes and sounds of the beach. One of my favorite
things to do while at the beach deep
sea fishing. I
also
enjoy spending time with my husband, family and
friends. I have recently
taken up the hobbies of knitting and scrapbooking.
