CS 141: File Processing

Course Objectives:

             Students will be familiar with the different file organization,
             access methods, and secondary storage devices.

Course Description:

	     This course introduces the different file organizations:
             sequential, relative, indexed, and multiple-key files, and 
             secondary storage devices. Prerequisite: CS 139 or consent
             of instructor. CS 130 is not a prerequisite.

             Textbook: File Structures Using Pascal,
             by Nancy E. Miller
             the Benjamin/Cummings Publishing Company.

Grading Policies:

             The grade for the course will be assigned based on the following 
             percentages:

             No late assignments. If you miss a test, the final score will be 
             assigned for that test.
