CS 1000-C: Introduction to Microcomputers and Applications

Course Objective:

To develop conceptual knowledge about hardware, software and 
communications. Students will be familiar with the Internet, 
computer operating system, computer applications, and information 
technology.

Course Description:

This course covers computing technology and concepts and develops 
skills in personal-computer applications.  Topics include hardware
and software terminology, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and
the Internet. It also covers the microcomputer operating system,
ethics, and current trends in the use of computers. A hands-on
laboratory is integrated with the course. A student may not receive
credit for both CS 115(CS 1000) and CS 138(CS 1010).
