CS 1000-B: Introduction to Microcomputers and Applications

Course Objective:

To develop conceptual knowledge about hardware, software and 
communications. Students will be familiar with the Internet, 
computer operating system, computer applications, and information 
technology.

Course Description:

Computing technology and concepts; applications of personal computers.
Topics include hardware and software terminology, word processing, 
spreadsheets, e-mail, the Internet, the microcomputer's operating 
system and its use, ethics, and current trends in the use of computers.
A hands-on laboratory is integrated with the course.
