My name is Sarah Tatum! I am 20 years old and attending Valdosta State University, majoring in Early Childhood and Special Education.
I attended The University of Georgia for two years before coming to VSU,
and began my college career as an Interior Design major,
until I felt that education would be a better profession for me.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my classes and time as an education major so far. I feel that I am being prepared for a degree that can really
change the world and the people in it.
I recently got married, last June 17th to be exact, and I absolutely love it. I enjoy being a wife, eventhough it can be a little trying at times.
My husband's name is Brent and we have known each other
practically our whole lives. We live in Waycross, Georgia, on the street that Brent has lived on his whole life. We go to church with both sets of our parents and our siblings. We are very close to our families and we love spending time with them!
We love to do a lot of things together,
but we especially love to go fishing.
We usually go saltwater fishing off of
St. Mary's or St. Simon's Island.
I have
been inspired to
become a teacher because of all of the wonderful teachers I have had
throughout my education. I enjoy learning new things for myself and I
enjoy passing the knowledge that I have on to other people. I also want
to teach because there will always be a need for teachers. There will
always be students to teach and new knowledge to learn.
