Hi, my name is Sarah Lord. I am from Dublin, GA. I am the class of 2010 here at Valdosta State. I cheer on the All-girl cheerleading squad. We cheer for the football and basketball teams. As of right now I am undecided on a major, but I have been leaning heavily toward psychology. With that major I would like to become a counselor, either at the middle or high school level.

The Freshman Year Experience Program
Here at VSU the FYE program has probably been the best decision I could have made! Being in most of the classes with the same people is very helpful. I have really be able to get to know the people so if a big test is coming up I know I have a definite study group! Having my adviser be one of my teachers really gives me a chance to get to know her one on one. Most other college students do not even know who their adviser is and I know mine very well! The FYE program helped me learn how to study better. It helped show me more ways and better ways to take notes so when I go back I can understand them!! I would recommend the FYE program to every entering freshman!!
