About Me:

I am a Non-traditional student who loves children and enjoys seeing their eyes light up when they learn new things. I am an avid reader who believes that books are our "window to the world." I have been married for twenty-three wonderful years and have two children whom I absolutely adore. I enjoy working outdoors in my yard and traveling. I am looking forward to receiving my special education degree so that I can help facilititate learning for all children.

My Talents and Special Accomplishments:

    I have a tremendous amount of patience with children and also have lots of compassion for them - especially for those who are less fortunate or have learning disabilities.

    The most special accomplishment for me has been the opportunity to raise my daughter and my son. Another very special accomplishment has been the opportunity to attend college in order to obtain a teaching degree.

    In March of 2007 I was fortunate enough to be able to travel abroad. I visited London, England, for a week and thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people and learning about their culture. While in England, I was able to visit Bath and Stonehenge. I also saw Queen Elizabeth in person as she was leaving Westminster Abbey!

Something Special I Want to Accomplish:

I would love to travel the world and would especially love to visit Australia. I would also love to visit all fifty states at least once in my lifetime – that leaves me with 35 to go! Seeing the Grand Canyon and the west coast would be awesome! Another major accomplishment for me is to obtain my teaching degree in May 2010!

I attend Valdosta State University. My classes are at the Waycross College Campus. VSU has the division Championship Football Team for 2007! Go Blazers!!!

I love cats and currently have a cat that is white with black spots named Spot. I enjoy reading about other people's cats and have found this to be an enjoyable website.

I rely very heavily on Weather.com to check the weather to make plans for the day.

I enjoy watching HGTV and I visit their website often in order to get new ideas for my home and garden.

Another favorite website of mine is Amazon.com. I love shopping on the internet for many different items - from books to apparel - and this site provides many bargains.
