About Me
My name is Randi Pellitteri, and I am an Interrelated Special Eduacation/Early Childhood Education major here at VSU.  I have a very large family of twelve who are the most important people in my life.  There are several things that I enjoy doing in my spare time including fishing, reading, shopping, and dancing.  I have been doing ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance for sixteen years.  I have a great deal of experience in early childhood, and I have also worked some with special needs students by sharing my love of dance with both groups of children.

     






There are several reasons that I chose teaching as my profession, but there are two that are particularly important.  First of all, teaching is the only thing that I have ever wanted to seriously do since I was in kindergarten; I have always loved going to school.  But more importantly, I believe that education is the most important thing in a child's life, and there would be nothing more fulfilling to me than to know that I made a positive educational influence in a child's life.







The Person or Experience that Influenced Me to Become a Teacher
I do not remember one specific teacher who influenced me to become a teacher.  However, I do know that I have always enjoyed being the "teacher's pet."  When I was in elementary school I loved to help grade papers, hand out worksheets, and anything else the teacher needed help with at the time.  I would even volunteer to stay after school and wash the chalk boards.  All of these gestures were opportunities for me to pretend to be the teacher.  As silly as these things sound today, I realize now that teaching is all I have ever really wanted do.
