Hello
and welcome to my page! My
name is Rheanna West, and I am a Senior at Valdosta State University. I am
curerntly in my first professional semester block in Early Childhood Education,
in hopes of graduating December 2010. I was born and raised in Augusta,
Georgia where I also graduated High School May 2004. I have one
older
sibling who is also in the Education field and teaches third grade in
Albany, Ga. I decided to major in Early Childhood Education after
tutoring a group of third graders my 11th grade year in High School.
Being a teacher is a very important part of my life. I enjoy the feeling of being able to help children and give them a sense of direction. A website that I really enjoy receiving information from is A to Z Teacher Stuff. The website is very sourceful giving you just about anything you can think of from lesson plans, activties and tips on whatever subject you may need assistance on. In my spare time, I find myself looking up multiple websites just to get a feel of how it will be when I begin teaching. I search for helpful websites that will be useful to parents as well, being that someday I plan to be filling both shoes as a teacher and parent. One webiste I found that was very interesting was the PBS webiste. The television show is helpful and now there is a website that corresponds with the television show.
Along with the excitement of becoming a teacher, I also have plans of creating my own clothing design and clothing company. Aside from doing work and preparing myself to become a teacher,I love to shop online. Whenever I need a break form work, I shop on my favorite clothing website and construct major damage. Outside of shopping, I spend time with family and friends. I also help out in a local daycare center and the Boys and Girls Club.
