ABOUT ME:

Hi. My name is Rachael, and I'm a junior at Valdosta State University. I grew up in north Georgia, and attended Kennesaw Mountain High School. I enjoy riding my two Appaloosa horses, visiting the beach, and running with my dog, Ryleigh.

Silly Facts About Me:

My birthday is the day before Valentine's Day
I don't know anyone who doesn't love my dog - She amazes me!
My favorite food is anything with ChOcolate!
I watch the cooking channel too much!
I pick out and only eat black jellybeans at Easter.

My Talents and/or Accomplishments:

I rode horses competively throughout middle and high school. I showed in the hunter jumper ring, and I trained for some three day eventing. I enjoy taking french, and writing short stories and poetry.

Something Special I would like to do:

I would like to travel to Europe, and possibly spend a year learning firsthand about another culture. I would also love to learn to play guitar and the drums. I want to have a family one day, and open a coffee shop and bakery.

My Favorite Website:

1. Valdosta State University is my number one resource as a college student. It gives me all the needed information, blazenet, and registration.
2. Facebook is great for communicating with my friends. This site is available to everyone, and is very user friendly. The best part about this website is being able to keep up with old friends all over the country and viewing their pictures.
3. Pandora – this website allows users to access music for free. It is extremely easy to use, and I listen to my various stations at work and at home. Some of my favorite musicians are: Amos Lee, Phish, YellowCard, The Bees, and The Beatles.
4. Mentalfloss is a website full of unusual blogs posted each day by people. I enjoy reading different information that people upload on this website. One of my favorite blogs posted is "Putting Humpty to Shame: How to Have a Great Fall (and Survive)" by Ransom.
5. Coffee is NOT bad for you, and I like to prove this by visiting the Coffee Science Information website. I have a true love addiction with coffee. What do you love about it? What's not to love? The smell, the taste, the sound of steaming milk for the perfect latte . . . I can't imagine a morning without coffee. My philosophy is taken from Mike Walton, who says, “there’s no such thing as strong coffee, only weak people.” Did I mention I work in a coffee shop . . . ?
