Hey there! My name is Rachael Stewart. I am from the amazing city of Atlanta. I am a very out going person who loves to meet knew people, laugh and just have a great time. I try to be the best friend that I can be. I do not like giving people reasons not to trust me. I love to be the person that people can go to just to talk.
I decided to come to VSU because my older brother was already a student here and he is basically my hero. I wanted to come because, yes, I wanted to get away from home. What freshmen doesn't? I do not know yet what I want to major in, however, I want to do something with helping people, and having interaction with people during the day.
The Freshman Year Experience Program
I love the fact that I had the Freshman Year Experience Program to start my college years off with. It has helped me so much to get involved with so many activities and social events on campus. I have met so many new people. The fact of knowing that I have the soild base of friends to go to is very comforting. Knowing I had already had a base of friends it helped me to be more outgoing in making new friends on campus. It made going to class easier for the first few weeks because I knew people already and I also had other freshmen going through the same transition that I was going through.
