Berlin Wall Picture Gallery Contains a few pictures intended to inspire conversation.

Demise of the Berlin Wall A short movie showing the death of the wall.

Germany After the Wall  A brief introduction to Germany as it is today (taken from Lexis Nexis).

Demographics of Germany  Link to a site full of info about Germany: to use site, be sure to switch the language option to English unless you feel inclined to suffer through the German.

Satellite Images Microsoft's TerraServer site provides access to satellite images to most of the United States, parts of Europe, and a few other places.  Unfortunately, they want to charge viewers if you want to save uninterrupted views from the high resolution satellite that passed over Europe.  Nevertheless, a solid view of the German landscape can still be seen.  At the TerraServer index, search for Germany.

The Economics of the Berlin Wall The conclusions of my research are published here.

A Song about the Wall  Jesus Jones' song from 1989, "Right Here Right Now."  (unauthorized: after listening to the song, delete it.)

A Personal View of the Wall  A quote from 1961 and an introspective look to your own hometown.

The commute seems to be a LOT longer these days.
Stringing up the first vestige of the Wall, at the Brandenburg Gate.
