Office Chair

This office chair was purchased at an auction. It was in awful shape but it was all there. The veneer was peeling off the back, the seat was splitting, the joints were loose, and everything was covered with twenty years of grime. Still, I could tell that this was a quality chair and that it had a lot of quartersawn oak. I intend to do my home office in Craftsman style, so I bought it. I completely disassembled the chair, stripped it, sanded it, and re-assembled it. I finished it with Minwax Special Walnut stain and several coats of pure tung oil. I put on some new wheels and it's good as new! Check out the grain in the seat!
