SS5H - "Students study United States History beginning with the Civil War and continue to the present." This includes the Presidents from 1860. 
SS5H6 -  Social Studies 5th grade History - The student will explain the reasons for America's involvement in World War II.
SS5H6a.  Describe Germany's aggression in Europe and Jananese aggression in Asia.
SS5H6e.  Describe the effects of rationing and the changing role of women and African-Americans: include "Rosie the Riveter" and the Tuskegee Airmen.
SS5H6d.  Identify Roosevelt, Stalin, Churchill, Hirohito, Truman Mussolini and Hitler.
SS4H7 - The student will examine the main ideas of the abolitionist and suffrage movements.

ELA4R1 - English Language Arts 4th grade Reading 1 - The student demonstrates comprehension and shows evidence of a warranted and responsible explanation of a variety of literary and informational texts.
ELA4R1i. Identifies rhyme and rhythm, repetition, similes, and sensory images in poems.
