I
grew up in
Jacksonville, Florida. My mother and older brother live there
now. I married at age 18 and moved to Texas with my then new
husband. He attended preaching school there. He has been a minister for
32 years. We have lived all over the Eastern United States. We have 4
boys. The three older boys are grown and on their own. The
youngest is 11 years old and lives at home with Mom and Dad.
We also have 2 granddaughters. I have had many jobs and am
currently a college student.
I want to be a teacher because I love to teach. I have worked in an elementary school as a paraprofessional and enjoy the school environment. I have taught children of all ages in Sunday School for many years.
I have taught disabled adults life skills as well. I feel that I can relate well to students in an educational setting. I believe this is what I was meant to do, so I am now able to fulfill my dream.

I attend the Fitzgerald Church of
Christ. My faith is a very important part of my life. I love the
congregation we are with now.

I love my cat Fitz. He is named after the town of Fitzgerald, Georgia
where we now live. He was given to me as a
birthday present 3 years ago.
.. I love to
make greeting cards. It is a creative outlet for
me. Two
of my girlfriends and I attend a StampinUp
class onc night a month.
Movies are another hobby for me. A glass of sweet tea, popcorn and a good movie in the DVD player is my idea of an entertaining evening.
I collect Delftware from Holland or shop at antique shops or yard sales.
