Hi!  My name is Paula. Welcome to my neck of the web! I’m glad you stopped by.

Maybe we have some things in common. My favorite color is brown because it reminds me of one of my favorite things: chocolate! Some of the things I like to do are baking, reading, watching the birds, playing with my dogs, laughing, and spending time with my family. I like to bake cookies from scratch, especially chocolate chip. My favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe is from Blue Bonnet. I also enjoy going to school.

I attend Valdosta State University where I am preparing to become a teacher. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in kindergarten. I started school in a small  elementary school in rural Western Maryland called Broad Ford Elementary School I moved to Florida during my middle school years where I attended Taylor Jr. Sr. High School. Even though it has taken me a while I am close to having my degree and being a teacher.

One of the most memorable experiences I have had was when I went to the GA Reading First conference in Atlanta, Ga. We stayed at the Omni at the CNN center. The conference was wonderful. I learned quite a bit about reading and teaching reading. A group of us visited the GA Aquarium. The GA Aquarium is a very peaceful place.
