Hanging Out and Harbour Pointe and Haller Lake

Ginny has friends in high places.  Her friend has a house on Haller Lake, and Ginny invited us to go boating and fishing Saturday afternoon.  Ginny rowed me around the lake three times - strong woman.  She got a good workout, I got to relax, and BBB had the best time casting (but no fish; if Mike had been there, he wouldn't have caught anything either, but he'd be telling someone right this minute about the 42 pounder he caught at Haller Lake).  One of the wonderful PNW treats in May is that all the Rhododendrons are in bloom.

The best part of hanging out at Harbour Pointe Golf Course is the free beer and having your picture taken with Colleen.  Thanks Colleen!  Nobody does it better............  A Kodak moment with Mike and Bill.

We had to take the same picture three times, because each of us wanted our own special "take".

Just some candid shots of some old "duffers" making their way around the course.  Notice the last picture; Mike has his rendition of "Arnie's Army" tagging along.

Georgia doesn't have sunsets like this!!

We adjourned to the 19th Hole after 9 holes to eat the best French Dip sandwich in the world.  After dinner, Dan, Megan, and Bill surprised me with a birthday cake.  That means it was May 16th.  Thanks Megan!!!  It was fun.

Saturday morning, Bill and I went to HP for pancakes.  They make the best pancakes in the whole world (have I said this before?).  These pictures are for our sister, @li, who lives in England.  She's had HP's pancakes, and she says they really are the best.  She asked me earlier today why I didn't put maple syrup on my pancakes - well, @li, the pancakes are soooooooo good that I hate to spoil them with syrup.  Bill, great picture of you!

Bill and I drove up to Burlington on Sunday to play in a tournament at Avalon Golf Course.  The drive up I-5 is gorgeous.  All of the pictures above were taken from Bill's truck as we drove north.  Nice landscape picture of a farm with Mt. Baker in the background.

There must have been 100 players at the tournament.  We played a scramble format - our team shot well below par, but the winners had a 53.  Megan, I love the picture of you and me sitting on the course.
