NUCLEUS

cell- nucleus

The NUCLEUS is a very important part of the cell. It has many functions.
The NUCLEUS stores genes on chromosomes, organizes genes into chromosomes and allows cell division.
The NUCLEUS is in total control of the cell and regulates all cell activity.
The NUCLEUS is composed of three parts, the nucleolus, the nuclear envelope and chromatin.

Take time to think.

Can you think of something in the real world that has similar functions to the NUCLEUS?

Plants are made up of cells as well.
Although the cells are a little different between plants and animals, they still have the same cell structure.
Be sure to look at the NUCLEUS so that you know what it looks like.
Take a look at these websites to gather more information about the function and structure of the NUCLEUS.
