CELL MEMBRANE

The CELL MEMBRANE has several functions but primarily forms a barrier
between the cell and the outside.
The CELL MEMBRANE controls what goes inside and
outside of the cell.
The CELL MEMBRANE also acts as a wall to contain
the cytoplasm, and it binds the cell together.
The CELL MEMBRANE is
composed of LIPID (fat) and PROTEIN molecules.
Take a minute to think.
Can you think of something in the real world that would have a
similar function to a CELL MEMBRANE???
Cells are found everywhere. Children have cells in their skin.
Within each cell is a CELL MEMBRANE.
Look at the close up of the CELL MEMBRANE so that you know what it
looks like.
Take a look at these websites to find
out more information about the
function and structure of a CELL MEMBRANE.
