Camp Glenrochie Closes 50th Consecutive Season
Yankee Invasion At Glenrochie
Camp Glenrochie experienced a “Yankee invasion” this year as the fifty-year-old girls’ camp opened for its summer activities.
Ten or twelve girls from north of the Mason-Dixon Line came down to spend the summer in the cool mountains of Southwest Virginia.
Five campers came from Englewood, N. J., two from Fairfield, Connecticut, one from New York, one from Washington and two from Ohio.
Two local girls attended this summer’s camp. They were Sara Hughes Mast and Janice Mock of Damascus.
