Camp Glenrochie Closes 50th Consecutive Season
Red Team First In Horse Show
The Red team at Camp Glenrochie won the Gymkhana which was held instead of the regular Horse Show as the camp wound up its summer activities.
This team scored 35 points to win over the Greens’ 25. Eleven different classes were entered.
Caroline Phelan of Valdosta, Ga., and Louise Oliver of Savannah won the class for pairs. Cherry Greve of Cincinnati placed first in the rings class and Cynthia Knoch of Englewood, N. J., first in musical chairs. Mary Kolmer of Salem took the honors in the potato race.
In posting without stirrups, Emily McCammon of Columbus, Ohio, came in first. Betty Brown of Scarsdale, N. Y., won the obstacle race with Mary Glover of Arlington, Va., first in Beginners 1 and Sally Sparrow of Englewood, N. J., leading in Beginners 2.
Emily Bourne of Savannah copped top honors in the walk race while Cynthia Knoch of Englewood, N. J., led the trot race. The Red Team finished ahead of the Greens in the relay.
