Oldest Camp For Girls Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Camp Awards Given At Banquet
Camp awards were presented to the girls during the banquet in celebration of Camp Glenrochie’s 50-year Jubilee.
The girl voted most valuable to the Red team was Hazel Tseng of Shanghai, China, and to the Greens, Mary Kolmer of Salem, Va.
The camp trophy cup for 1950 went to the Red team for winning the highest number of points in the summer’s round of activities.
The silver bracelet for the best Junior Camper was won by Betty Brown of Scarsdale, N. Y. The trophy for the best all-round senior camper went to Caroline Phelan of Valdosta, Ga.
Captains for the teams were Eleanor Barton of Richmond, Reds, and Cindy Pye of Alexandria, Va., Greens. Cindy is the daughter of former camper Delia Pease.
