Camp Glenrochie Closes 50th Consecutive Season
Actress Former Summer Camper
Margaret Sullavan, stage and screen star, is affectionately remembered at Camp Glenrochie as “Peggy.”
The actress attended the famous girls’ summer camp near Abingdon when she was twelve years old.
She is particularly remembered for her enthusiasm in taking part in the camp plays and dramatic skits.
Even then, her dramatic ambitions were apparent and although she joined in the camp activities, it was the plays that really captured her interest.
