Welcome
cousins! I have been researching my family genealogy since 1995. I began
with the help of my great-grandmother, Mrs. Lerlean H. Black, who provided me
with names, dates and pictures of some ancestors. I am most grateful to
her for this information. During the past ten+ years, I have worked very
actively on my research and have visited numerous cemeteries, courthouses, and
libraries. Besides Georgia, my family interests span into Alabama,
Kentucky, Virginia, Missouri, Massachusetts, England, and Scotland where I have
visited. This site is dedicated to the current family of M. M. Black with
hopes they will explore their family history and genealogy.

I am sharing a listing of over 23,230
files of my research which I have subdivided into my principal eight surnames
(Black, Dale, Hix, Lane, Maxwell, Norris, Perry, & Yelland). These
directories (in alphabetical order) contain primary source material such as
estate records, pictures, grave pictures, certificates, census records,
obituaries, etc. that I have scanned and saved for various individuals. I
have worked several years scanning my research for this index to be
available. For privacy, I have removed folders of living individuals.
The documents will open with hyperlinks however my files are not available on
the internet so clicking will produce no result. If you locate a name of
a newspaper, it is probably the obituary for that person; if you locate a name
of a cemetery or church, it is the grave picture for that person (Apr. 5,
2008).
