Family Genealogy and History
M. M. Black
Your Trip Down Black Road Begins Now
Welcome
cousins! I have been researching my family genealogy since 1995. I began
with the help of my great-grandmother, Mrs. Lerlean H. Black, who provided me
with names, dates and pictures of some ancestors. I am most grateful to
her for this information. During the past ten+ years, I have worked very
actively on my research and have visited numerous cemeteries, courthouses, and
libraries. Besides Georgia, my family interests span into Alabama,
Kentucky, Virginia, Missouri, Massachusetts, England, and Scotland where I have
visited. This site is dedicated to the current family of M. M. Black with
hopes they will explore their family history and genealogy.
Michael's recommendations for
researching at your state archives facility (February 17, 2006).
List of book references used in my
Family Tree Maker software (July 19, 2008).
List of my 1812, Confederate, Indians
Wars, Cherokee War, and Revolutionary patriots (June 23, 2008).
PDF report of
all 16,103 individuals in my family file (December 16, 2009). The following
are descendant reports for several of my direct ancestors, grouped by
surname. There is overlap between some generations and surnames; reports
do not include living generations. (All
reports revised December 18, 2008). If you find a name of family group,
email me because I probably have primary source material such as estate
records, pictures, grave pictures, certificates, census records, obituaries,
etc. that I have scanned and saved.
