All About Me

 Hey! My name is Megan Elizabeth Campbell.  I am 18 years old.  I am from Roswell, GA where I lived for 17 years.  I graduated from Roswell High School in May of 2002.  I am currently enrolled at VSU as a freshman.   My interests include shopping, tap dancing, and just hanging out with my friends.   I am a Journalism major.  I chose Valdosta State because it has a beautiful campus, its just far enough away from home, and its not overwhelming in size.  I plan to transfer to the University of Georgia in 2004 to get my degree in journalism.  I would eventually like to become a writer for a magazine or newspaper.

 

 

 The Freshman Year Experience Program

I am involved in the Freshman Year Experience program at Valdosta State University.  It was created to help freshman adjust to their first year of college and being away from home.  FYE has opened up many doors for me.  It has assisted me in adjusting to the requirements of college classes and allowed me to meet many people my age. By having peer mentors and extra study help in the program I was able to adjust well.   It has encouraged me to be involved both on and off campus.  With the help of the Freshman Year Experience program, I was able to have a chance to be in the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.  The Freshman Year Experience program is definitely something I wish I could carry with me throughout my college years and the study skills and personal contacts I have made in this program will allow me to do so.
