Food Inspector

Foods That Have Shapes
REAL WORLD ACTIVITY:  Today you are going to be a food inspector!  Your job is to think of as many foods as you can that remind you of any of the shapes that we talked about today.  Think about what you ate for breakfast this morning, or for dinner last night.  Does any of the items make you think of a certain shape?  You can review the shapes that we have looked at by clicking here.
Lesson 1 Directions:
1.  On your construction paper, with four sections, using your crayons, draw a picture of a food that resembles the four different shapes: triangle, square, circle and rectangle.
2.  Identify the shapes of the foods, and I will write them on the paper for you.

Lesson 2 Directions:
1.  Divide your plates into four sections with a marker.  Draw a picture of a food in each area of the plate, that resembles each of the shapes: square, triangle, rectangle, and circle.
