- I am attending VSU.
- I am currently a volunteer firefighter and plan to continue my career in firefighting after I complete my degree in fire science. My firefighting is why I chose this background.
- I am currently undeclared, however I will soon declare fire science as my major.
- I decided to attend VSU mainly because of financial reasons. I am as comfortable in one school as in another.
- I was born in Albany, Georgia. I lived there for the first two months of my life. As a kid my family moved around many times.
- FYE's purpose is to introduce students into college so that students do not become overwhelmed by all of the responsibilities.
- Through FYE I have met many new people and have been able to get placed in courses that were comfortable to me. FYE has made the transition into college much more smooth.
- I feel that FYE has helped to prepare me more for the rest of my college experience. I am ready to move on with the rest of my college career.
- I have learned through FYE that college is not high school. I have much more responsibility and if something should go wrong I am the one who fixes it.
