This student felt very accomplished and proud after completing assignment.
1. Grade: 1

Student used two different combinations, to much two different purchases.  This particular student also wrote at the bottom, the sum of both purchases, and showed that the sum was under the set amount of twenty dollars.  The student showed knowledge in identification of certain dollars by picking out the write dollars in the play money, and wrote the correct amount in the numerical system.

2. Throughout the rest of the day, after the lesson, this student talked about how much fun this activity was.  She liked that it included things she wanted, which in this case was candy. She also said she liked that she could construct the paper in whichever way she liked, so that it showed more of what she could do, as opposed to other activities where it is very structured.
