Coins are the smallest unit of money, after coins you begin to pay for things with DOLLARS.  The one-dollar bill is the smallest unit of paper money that is available. It is the second oldest form of money, aside from the two-dollar bill that is no longer very popular. The one dollar bill is denoted as $1.00.  This bill is equal to:
100 pennies
20 nickles
10 dimes
 and 4 quarters!!
