Welcome parents and students to my web page! My name is Lisa Wolaver and I teach at Lovin Elementary School located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Lawrenceville is the county seat of Gwinnett County. Lovin ES is a part of the brand new Archer Cluster which is a division of the Gwinnett County Public School System. GO TIGERS!
I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BS in Psychology and I am currently enrolled in a Master's Program at Valdosta State University. I have lived in Gwinnett County for 20 years with my husband, Tom. We have two teenagers, Blake (18) and Lauren (15), and a Peekapoo, Max. I enjoy reading, gardening and walking Max. I also love to bake, watch movies and listen to music.
I have taught at Lovin ES for 2 years in a self-contained moderate Autism class where I am assisted by two outstanding paraprofessionals, Mrs. Brooks and Mrs. Burks. I teach grades 3-5 in all subject areas as well as create and maintain GAA portfolios for each student. I strive to provide an atmosphere in my classroom that balances structure with sensory needs in order to facilitate an environment conducive to learning for those with autism.
