Real-World Activity: Now that you have learned what multiple meaning words, we have an important task ahead of us! We have been called on by a word detective to help him unscramble pictures and replace them with words to help him find the next clue to solve the mystery. Make sure you pick the right word to go with the right picture so that the detective doesn't get lost!
Lesson 1 Directions:
1. First read the sentences.
2. Cut the sentences out and place them to the side.
3. Next cut out the pictures.
4. On a piece of contruction paper, place the right sentence wit the right picture.
*Remember words have mulitple meaning, so make sure that you pick the right sentence with the right picture*
5. After all the sentences are clued with the pictures, read your mystery card outloud to the teacher!
Lesson 2 Directions: Unscrambling clue # 2.
With this mystery letter you are given a list of words.
1. Students will read the card with information.
2. Next the students will try to pick out the multiple meaning words.
3. Then the students will underline or color the word and say why they picked it.
