Hi,
my name is
Lindsey Walker. I am a Valdosta
State University student,
and I am in the Special Education
program and the Early
Childhood Education
program. I am excited to start teaching, and I hope I can make a
difference in the lives of the children that I will teach. I want
the students to enjoy learning and be successful in life.
One of my favorite hobbies is scrapbooking . I have so many boxes of pictures, and I want to eventually get most of them into books. I have not been doing this for very long, but I think I will be involved in it for a very long time. In addition to scrapbooking, I love to shop and go out with my friends on weekends. I also like to catch up on sleep and sometimes play golf.
I enjoy going on trips. I have been to the beach almost every summer of my life. I love it! I love the sand, the sun, and especially the water! As far as future traveling goes, one day I would like to visit New York City. I think that I will really like it there, and I need to know what it is like because my fiancé wants to move there after we get married. I think Antarctica would also be a very interesting place to see, and I know that I would love Hawaii.

Sometimes teachers may need a little
help. I have found some sites that are helpful. One of the
sites is Brain
Pop Jr. This site
has something for
science, health, writing, reading, social studies, and math. In
addition to the grown ups guide, there are many educational
games,
activities, a word wall (tells the meaning of the word), book
suggestions, jokes, quizzes, and much more to create new and build on
existing ideas. Another website that I liked was The Teacher's Corner. It has unit ideas, a book
nook, resources, a bulletin board, a teacher message board, and
much more.
