Hi!
My name is Lauren Ray and I am a student at Valdosta
State University.
I
am a HUGE VSU Blazer fan! I love to go to Blazer
sporting events and cheer on my school! I am an Interrelated
major of Special
Education and Early Childhood Education. After receiving my
Masters in Special Education, I want to work in a preschool class with
children who have disabilities.
In high school, I attended a large, suburban school in Alpharetta,
called, Chattahoochee High School.
I was very involved as an athletic trainer for the football and
basketball teams and I was also on the leadership team for the
Fellowship of
Christian Athletes. I was also very involved with my church's
Youth Group at Mt. Pisgah United
Methodist Church. I also enjoyed doing mission work every
summer withGroup Workcamps; traveling
to Montana, Vermont, Texas and Tennessee, working on homes for less
fortunate people. I also traveled to Peru on a mission trip with Rivers
of the World, an
organization that
brings missionaries to villages on rivers far from civilization all
throughout the world.
I am from a suburban city northeast of Atlanta, called
Alpharetta, Georgia. I was orginially born in Indianapolis,
Indiana. I lived there until I was 8 years old and will be a
lifelong Indianapolis
Colt's fan. I love any and all sports, whether I'm watching
them or playing them, but football is by far my favorite. I am
involved with the Baptist Collegiate Ministries on campus at VSU and
play flag football through this ministry. I am very close to my
sister, who
goes to the University of Georgia, making me a big Georgia
football fan. I
love
my family more than anything and love spending time with them. I
also love to read,
watch movies, and scrapbook.
