My name is Lacia Howell and I attended Echols County Schools Kindergarten to Twelfth Grade. During my school years, I
was very involved in sports, including Softball, Basketball, and Golf.  I was also in the Sr. Beta Club, FFA, FBLA, 4-H, Student Council, and
President of both my Junior and Senior Class.  During high school, I was able to enter the Teacher Apprenticeship program where
I was given the opportunity to work with Pre-K, K, and 1st grade students. I graduated with honors in 2004.
In the fall of 2004, I started attending Valdosta State University.

As a child, I grew up in very small town - Echols County, Georgia. Echols consist of one red light and everyone knows everyone.  I basically lived on a farm and I                                                     grew up in a very big family.  I was the only granddaughter on my mom's side for a long time, so I had to be a tomboy at times.  I always remember playing in the                                                     rain making mudpies and bogging with the fourwheelers. Since then, I have grown up to be a very girly girl. This includes liking to spend money, especially at Gap.                                                  Since I grew up with a lot children around, I couldn't bear not to be around any. So, at the age of 13,
I began babysitting and have been doing that ever since.

I love spending time with family and friends, singing, and attending my home church, Calvary Baptist of Lake Park, Georgia.
One of my favortie songs to sing is "God Likes to Work" by Karen Peck and New River.
My number one priority is God and trying my best to stay in his will. With that said, I currently teach 11 and
12 year olds on Wendesday nights which I love dearly.  I am also a part of the Children's Bus Ministry where I pick up children whose parents do not come to church or                                                 are unable to bring them. One of the most important things to me is being a witness to those who may have never heard the gospel before.
"With God all things are Possible" ~Matthew 19:26.
I have always had a love for children, so that's why I have choosen to be a teacher.
There is nothing more special in this world than the love of a child.
