Bryce Carter's Electronic Portfolio

     Hi, my name is Leroy Bryce Carter. I was born right here in Valdosta, Ga. on November 2, 1983. I live in Echols County which is about ten minutes east of Valdosta.  I attended high school in Statenville at Echols County High from kindergarten until I graduated in 2002.  I was active in the athletic program as well as the Senior Beta club, FCCLA and FFA throughout high school. It was a relatively small school for the public school system, around 750 people in K-12 grades.

      I planned to attend Valdosta State University for several reasons. The first of which is that it was close to home and many of my friends from high school would still be here. The second reason is that I thought that it would be a good place to get my core classes in and get used to the college load and the classes. I am only planning to stay at VSU long enough to get the required classes to get into the Pharmacy program at the University of Georgia.

- The Freshman Year Experience Program is for beginning freshman at Valdosta State University.  it is a year long program to maximize the students grades and help them adjust to the challenges of college life. The program is intended primarily for those students who have not decided on a college major. Your first semester of college, you will take the VSU 1101, English 1101, and Political Science.  The second semester, you will take VSU 1102, English 1102, and US History. In the VSU 1101 class you will cover topics like time management, goal setting, and critical thinking.  In the VSU 1102 class you will create a electronic portfolio and a web page. The Freshman Year Experience Program is a good program that I would recommend to incoming students.
