         Language Arts         

PreK-2nd grade Kidport offers a wide range of subjects for different grade levels.  The language arts section gives students a variety of activities to help improve their reading skills and grammar.

3rd-5th grade Have stories read to you by members of the Screen Actors Guild.  Storyline also offers lesson plans and activity guides for each story.

         Reading       

PreK-2nd grade Read stories, play on-line activities, print out take home activities, and view book reviews at Story Place, The Children's Digital Library.  Read this site in English or Spanish.

3rd-5th grade Find lists of all kinds of age appropriate reading materials with Zinger at Book Hive.  You can listen to a story, visit an activity book, print out color pages, or take a Harry Potter quiz.

             Math         

PreK-2nd grade Visit Cool Math and play fun math games relating to geometry, fractions, and math related subjects.

3rd-5th grade Explore math concepts through on-line games, crafts, and interactive projects at Math Cats.

            Social Studies     

PreK-2nd grade Read about the history of the white house, past presidents and their families, their pets, and much more at White House for Kids.

3rd-5th grade Learn about countries, their flags, culture, their  cuisine and other interesting facts in the Canton Public Library web site.

             Science         

PreK-2nd grade Peep and the Big Wide World is an interactive site for younger children and their parents.  It offers ideas for science activities that can be done with the child as well as suggests a book that relates to that activity.  The site also offers interactive games and printable color sheets.

3rd-5th grade Science News for Kids gives children a variety of science topics to choose from and explore.  The site also offers a PuzzleZone to test thinking, a SciFairZone to help or give suggestions for science projects, and a LabZone that gives examples of experiments children can do.

                Art            

PreK-2nd grade Choose a category and let children paint by numbers at Segmation.  This site is for adults as well as children, just choose the level of difficulty.

3rd-5th grade The Artist's Toolkit explores elements such as color, line, and balance.  You can watch an artist in action then create your own art.

            Music          

PreK-2nd grade Visit MoJo's Musical Mouseum to listen to childrens songs and search for song lyrics.

3rd-5th grade Listen to and find the lyrics to movie, musical, patriotic, and holiday music at NIEHS.  Play fun games like name that tune.

           Physical Education       

PreK-2nd grade Find ideas and directions on how to play active indoor and outdoor games at Kid Wizard.

3rd-5th grade Would you like to learn more about physical activities?  Learn how to play and what kind of gear you will need on Bam!

          Health and Hygiene        

PreK-2nd grade Find out about germs and microbes and how they spread.  Learn when you need to wash your hands and how to wash them in Bam!

3rd-5th grade In Healthy Kids Planet find out about your body and how it functions, as well as food facts.  It also teachs children about safety around the home.
