Welcome to the Gladden Middle School Graduation Coach page.

My name is Mrs. Sierra and I am the Graduation Coach at Gladden Middle School. As Graduation Coach,  my job is to ensure that all students have access to the resources that are needed to graduate from high school.  The Middle School Graduation Coach program is an initiative by the state of Georgia to improve graduation  rates across the state.

Our program at Gladden Middle School serves grades 7 and 8 and also serves students in grade 6 from feeder elementary schools and in grade 9 at Murray County High School. It is our intent to ensure that all students use available resources to keep them on track to graduation. I monitor specific factors that place students at risk such as attendance, CRCT scores, behavior, grades, and other related areas. I also work to ensure smooth transitions of our students from elementary to middle school and from middle school to high school. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking and being outdoors with my husband and three dogs, Rosencrantz, Guildenstern (Rosie and Guildie for short), and Pippi. I am also working on my Master's Degree at Valdosta State University. Whenever I get the chance,  I love to read. Some of my favorite authors are Flannery O'Connor, Isabel Allende,  Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and William Faulkner.
