Like Father, Like Son!
Something
about me:Hi!
My name is Katherine S. Holmes, but I go by Kathy. I am
twenty-six years old and I am currently in the Special Education/Early
Childhood program through Valdosta. I am married to a wonderful
man, who goes
by the name Bubba! Pretty funny, huh? His real name is
Derand. I am thankful everyday for the man that God placed in my
life. Together, we have a son, named Matthew. He is three
years old and is the joy of our life. We attend the Place of
Blessings Church of God.
My
hobbies:
I am a
family person and love to spend time with my family. We love to
hunt and fish! Of course, you can only hunt four months out of
the year, but you can fish all year round. Our favorite spot is
the Suwannee River in Fargo. Go to Stephen Foster State Park
and check it out!
I
also love to scrapbook. Scrapbook

As
a practicum student and future educator, I have found that Crayola
has great information.
And
of
course, I have to keep up with what is going on in our
local school system.
My
hobbies:I
enjoy spending time with my family,
most of all! They are the most important thing in my life, next
to God! Most weekends, you can find us fishing or four-wheeling,
except during hunting season. All we do during hunting season is
HUNT! I didn't
get to go this past season too much, because of work. If it
hadn't been for that, you know I would have been there.
I also love to scrapbook. Any time I get the chance, I can be found tucked away in our bedroom with a million pictures all over the bed. To be honest, I don't know how in the world, I am ever going to fit all the pictures I do have into the different scrapbooks I am working on.
I love to put pictures of my son
playing in my scrapbook!
Lastly, I love to
cook! I
don't necessarily enjoy the cleaning up
part, but I do like to make a mess. My favorite cooking channel
is the Food Network. I like to watch Paula Deen and Sandra's
Semi-Homemade Cooking.
Why I
want to be a teacher:
As far back as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher! I can remember my teachers in elementary school. I had some good ones, and some not so good ones. But, it's the good ones that make the great memories. As a teacher, it is my goal to help every student succeed at all he or she does. I want to give them the tools needed to learn new concepts and ideas and build upon those things.
