I have grown up in the Lowndes county school system. I went to Barrets Daycare center and then  I began Kindergarten at Pine Grove Primary school.  After I completed the second grade, I was moved  to Moulton Branch Elementary because it was a new school in my district.  I was upset at first because I would miss all of my friends at Pine Grove, but once I got to Moulton Branch, I made so many more friends!  I started the sixth grade at Hahira Elementary.  I began getting involved in the band in the sixth grade.  I played the flute in the concert band, and I continued through high school.  I went to Lowndes High and I loved it.  I continued playing the flute, and I also played the piccolo.  Our band was called the Lowndes High Georgia Bridgemen.  I also was involved with Class Cabinet and Interact.  Now I am at Valdosta State University.  I will graduate in 2008 with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and a Minor in Psychology.

    I grew up very family oriented.  I have a mom, dad, grandmother, brother and a sister, twenty aunts and uncles, and countless cousins and great aunts and uncles.   We are very political and very religious.  Anyone coming in my house must be prepared to give their opinion about certain issues, and they must defend their answers.  My grandfather used to enjoy taking the opposing point of view, not because he believed it, but just to argue with you enough to see if you can make a logical argument for your view.  He always said there is no point in having ideas if you don't know where they came from.  I loved growing up with such a large family because there was always someone to talk to, and always someone to listen. 

    I am a country girl and I love country things.  I like riding four-wheelers, big trucks, dirt roads, and mud.  I am a tom-boy in some ways, but I am still a little prissy too.   I love going to the movies and going shopping.  My favorite thing to do is be with friends, family, and my fiancé, watching t.v. or going out to eat.  I love, love, love Football.  I can't wait for football season to start  because my Dad and I have season tickets for Lowndes High Viking Football.  It's a BIG tradition for us.  I also like the Georgia Bulldogs, Florida State Seminoles,  Miami Dolphins,  Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and of course, VSU Blazers!!
