Welcome
Parents and children! My name is Kelly
Bazen-Thomas and I live in Thomasville,
Georgia. Thomasville is the county seat of Thomas County and
is called the City of Roses. Thomasville was named after
General Jett Thomas, who fought in the War of 1812. Thomasville is
filled with many historical homes and landmarks. Each year
Thomasville celebrates the city with the Rose Festival. This
includes the Rose Parade, the Rose City Run, and Rose Show just to name
a
few of the activities. Thomasville has two public school systems, Thomasville City Schools and the Thomas
County School System. In Thomasville there are also two colleges,
Southwest Georgia Technical College and Thomas University.
A little bit about me. I have have
lived in Thomasville for over 5 years with my husband
Antonio and our four children. I have a Masters degree in Social
Work from Valdosta
State University. I work very hard to find foster and adoptive
homes for children that need families. Before this I served in the U.S.
Army in the dental field. Some of my hobbies are reading, playing the
piano, and traveling.
Even though learning is important and
can be hard, it can be very
fun. I want to make learning exciting and new. I want all my
students to work hard but have fun at the same time and enjoy what they
have accomplished, no matter what grade level I teach. Learning is
ongoing, it never stops, so lets make it fun! One way I know how
to leap into learning with a little Addition Attack.
