Hello! My name is Kerri Stanford. I am 29 years old, and I live in Nashville, Georgia. I was born and raised in Berrien County. I am an Early Childhood Education major and a junior at Valdosta State University. I really love children, and I want to help children the way my teachers have helped me. I have worked as a paraprofessional in a kindergarten, first, and second grade classroom and in a special education classroom. Also, I have worked as a substitute teacher in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a young girl. I am excited about being closer to reaching my dream.
My Talents and/or Accomplishments
I have always loved to dance. I took dance lessons for years. I have had ballet, tap, and jazz dance lessons. I was on the dance line for two years in high school. My freshman year in high school I was a class officer. I served as a senator. I have three wonderful children. My son, Doug, is eleven years old. I also have twin daughters. Daphne and Danielle are seven years old. My children are my pride and joy! I am a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society and Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education at Valdosta State University.
Something Special I would like to do
I would love to take my children on a Walt Disney Cruise. Also, I want to make a difference in other children's lives. I want to be a teacher who my students will remember as having made an impact on their lives! Children are so special, and I want to help just as many as I can. Children of today are our future leaders.
Valdosta State University is a wonderful university. I would recommend it to anyone. I am having a wonderful time and appreciate all my teachers. They are teaching me so much. I know when I graduate from Valdosta State University that I will be prepared to begin my teaching career.
Paragon Financial Partners
My brother, Wayne P. Watson Jr., is the owner and President of Paragon Financial Partners. Wayne's company deals with insurance, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and estate planning. I am very proud of my brother and his company.
My mother and step-father live on the lake at Lake Blackshear. My children and I love to visit. We enjoy sitting on the porch and relaxing. Many times we go riding in the boat and go fishing. It is so peaceful and beautiful.
This past summer, my friend, Amy, and I took our children to the beach at St. Simon's Island. She had her two children, and I had my three. We had a blast! Last summer’s vacation to the beach was the first vacation that I had taken my children on since my divorce. It was fun and exciting, and this web page brings back all the fun memories from our vacation last year.
I think this is a good website to help children
learn how to
take care of a pet before they get a real pet. My daughters get on the computer daily to feed
their pets. They also have to take their
pets to the vet occasionally. If their
pets are not taken care of properly, they will die.
My children love to go to this website. They watch Disney Channel videos and play games. My children have fun playing the games, and, at the same time, they are learning more about the computer. Some of the games are educational, and all of them are fun.
This website is special because one day I
would like to take
my children on a Disney Cruise. I have
never been on a cruise, and I want to go on a Disney Cruise because I
think I
would enjoy it, but, most of all, I know my children would love it! Hopefully, we will be able to go on a Disney
Cruise in a few years.
