My
name is Kaysie Harper and I am 20
years old. I am from the very small town of Alapaha, Georgia where I
have lived all of my life. I
recently graduated from South Georgia College
in Douglas, Georgia with my Associates Degree in Education.
Currently, I am on my
Junior year at Valdosta State
University majoring in Early
Childhood Education.
This is my first year in the education program
and I am in my first professional block. I plan to graduate Fall
2011 with my Bachelors.
In my spare time, I enjoy
spending time with my family, friends, and boyfriend. I live on a farm
and I love the country life. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and doing
anything outdoors. I love summer and all the things that come along
with it, including: swimming, skiing, and going to the beach. Cooking
has become another hobby that I enjoy. I like to watch Paula Deen and Rachel Ray on TV, and cook their
delicious recipies.
I am interested in becoming an early childhood education teacher
because all children, despite their ethnicity, age, or gender, have
several things in common. All children have the right to learn. I want
to inspire my students to do their best and accomplish all of their
goals. I want to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment
for my students to grow and develop in. I absolutely love kids and
cannot wait to have my own classroom full of
them! I hope that through teaching I will have a positive impact in my
students lives and their learning.
Some interesting educational
websites that I have discovered are on Lesson Plans and Kids Know It.
These websites are great for gathering neat ideas and activities to go
along with teacher's lesson plans. They are also great for parents that
want to give their children extra help at home.
