Welcome to my website.  My name is Katie Dodgen and I am currently a twenty year old junior at Valdosta State University.  I am pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education and plan on completing my degree by May 2007. I am from Hampton, Georgia, which is just south of Atlanta, and is home to the Atlanta Motor Speedway.  I graduated from Henry County High School in May 2003.  I work at Precious Treasures Daycare, which is a Christian Learning Center here in Valdosta. 


One of my favorite websites to look at for teachers is Teacher Helpers.  This website is designed to help teachers with various things such as different ideas for holidays, worksheets, coloring pages, and other resources that help teachers in their lesson plans and ideas.  This website is fun to look around at and see the different ideas for different projects and lesson plans. 


I enjoy supporting the Valdosta State Blazers here at VSU.   Last year I attended the National Championship Game in Florence, Alabama with some friends.  The game was played at the University of North Alabama against Pittsburg State. The nine hour car ride was definitely worth it, considering we were named the 2004 National Champions!!
