Your freshman year experience at Valdosta State University is critical in laying the groundwork for a successful academic and professional career.      I am very glad I chose to get involved in FYE.  I feel like all 26 students in my FYE class have become a close group of friends and it is nice walking into class and recognizing almost everyone.  I also think that the FYE program is very beneficial when it comes to signing up for classes and getting advised.  When it came time to sign up for classes, my advisor already assigned me 3 of my core classes which was a big help and relief!  I know that next year I will keep in touch with many of the people in my FYE class!
