Hello! My Name is Kimberly Holbrook, I am married, I have one son, and I live in Lakeland, Georgia.  I graduated from Berrien High School in Nashville, GA. I am in my first professional block for Early Chilhood Education at Valdosta State University. I have attended Valdosta State University sinc e June 2004 and plan to graduate December 2008. I have always enjoyed school and am very excited of becoming a teacher. My goal as a teacher is to help students learn to their fullest potential. I will always strive to teach and do my best in helping all students. The rewards of being a teacher are greater than anyone can describe.

As a small child, I grew up in Alapaha, GA. When I turned 8, my family moved to Willacoochee
, Georgia and my parents built a house beside the Alapaha River. Alapaha and Willacoochee are very small communities with no redlights. I really enjoyed living in Willacoochee because the river was in my backyard.  My husband and I just built a house and moved in August 2006. This was a very exciting, yet stressful experience. Along with our two year old, my husband and I also had a Toy Poodle, we have a Shih-tzu, and a Golden Retriever. My shih-tzu and Golden Retriever are the newest members of my family. My Golden Retriever also just had puppies!!

Some hobbies of mine include swimming in the river, shopping, surfing the web,  learning new things, reading, and playing the piano. I have played the piano since I was 5 and still enjoy doing that now. Lastly, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. While I am surfing the web, I like to find websites that would be useful in teaching and helping children learn. I have come across four very useful website and encourage anyone to visit them. They are Discovery Kids, PBS Kids, Webweather and Fun Brain. Lastly, I enjoy animals of all kinds. Along with our 4 dogs, we have 5 cats, 2 hogs, and over 60 cows.
