Map of Seattle, Washington

seattle

Seattle is located in Washington state, which is on the tip of the northwest United States.  Seattle is also the largest city in Washington.  Seattle is a very wet and rainy city, but the dreary weather helps keep Seattle cleaner and greener than most cities of a similar size.  This is how it earned the nickname "Emerald City."  During the winter season the temperature has been known to get below freezing, and in the summer the high averages around 76 degrees Fahrenheit.
